Long before sustainable farming became a global movement, Mr. K. Shyam Prasad believed that quality planting material and practical agricultural knowledge could transform livelihoods.
With this belief, he established Annapoorna Nursery in the mid-1990s in the serene village of Pethri, Udupi. What began as a modest nursery soon became a destination for farmers, home gardeners, institutions, and nature lovers seeking healthy plants and trustworthy guidance.
His philosophy has always been simple:
"Don't just sell plants—help people grow them successfully."
Over the years, he personally nurtured thousands of plant varieties, experimented with cultivation techniques, and built lasting relationships with customers based on honesty, quality, and service.
His relentless dedication transformed Annapoorna Nursery into a name synonymous with trust, quality, and horticultural excellence.
Today, the nursery produces over 20 lakh plants annually, offering more than 500 varieties while welcoming over 2 lakh visitors every year to learn, explore, and experience the beauty of nature.
